Department of Public Administration

















INTRODUCTION

The department of Public Administration was established in 1996 and since then it has been imparting knowledge and training to produce future breed of public administrators. Public Administration has multidimensional perspective spanning across political, constitutional, legal and administrative realms. Moreover, it has vast scope ranging across governmental and non-governmental sectors. Within the government it deals with administration of governments at local, provincial and central levels with the essence to meet current and future challenges. Public Administration as academic discipline traditionally goes far beyond the concerns of management. It incorporates as its subject matter the political, social, cultural, religious, regional and demographic dimensions/aspects that affect the running of public affairs.

BS Management

Eligibility


The eligibility criterion for admission in BS Management is F.A/F. Sc/I. Com and ICS or equivalent with at least second division from any recognized institution. Age should not be more than 22 year on last date of reception of applications. The entry test/interview is compulsory to determine the merit.


MPA

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for MPA are as under:
» B. A./B. Sc. in Business Administration, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Commerce, Statistics or Economics from any HEC recognized University with at least 2nd division with 45% aggregate in annual system or GPA 2.5 in semester system.
» Entry test is mandatory for admission in MPA.
» Overall merit comprises of Academic Record and Entry Test result.
» Age should not be more than 26 year on last date of reception of applications.

MSc HRM

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for MSc HRM are as under:
» B. A./B. Sc. in Business Administration, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Commerce, Statistics or Economics from any HEC recognized University with at least 2nd division with 45% aggregate in annual system or GPA 2.5 in semester system.
» Entry test is mandatory for admission in MSc HRM.
» Overall merit comprises of Academic Record and Entry Test result.
» Age should not be more than 26 year on last date of reception of applications.

MS Management Sciences

Eligibility

A minimum of 16 year of education with MBA/M.Com/MPA/BBA (4 years)/B.Com (4 years)/BS Management (4 years)/BSIT (4 years) or equivalent with second division or 2.50 CGPA on the scale of 4.00 from any institution recognized by HEC.
The GAT-General (www.nts.org.pk/gat/gat.asp) conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score will be required at the time of admission to M.Phil/ M.S. The GAT-General test is valid for a period of two years.


PhD Management Sciences


This program consists of 18-27 credit hours course work. The courses (core and elective) may be offered in any sequence depending upon the availability of faculty members, and other facilities. After completion of course work and before starting the thesis, the scholars will have to pass comprehensive examination as per university policy.
